It has the best water supply in Monchique. During the 2005 drought, it still had the best source of running water. During the winter, it produces more than 30,000 litres per day of bottleable quality water. Even during the dry summer, it produces about five to ten thousand litres per day.

The property was bought by its current owner in 2005 with the intention of transforming it into an ecological paradise, but unfortunately health problems caused the project not to continue. He would be happy to discuss the property’s eco possibilities with potential buyers. He was planning to go with a team of people in April to completely clear the land etc and tidy up but Covid put a stop to this for now. He does aim to get back as soon as possible to clean it up.
