It is a 10 minute walk to the local cafe and small village shop, 20 mins to a lovely bakery/cafe and a popular bbq restaurant. There is a tiny train station 5 mins walk giving easy access to Lisbon (3 hours), Porto (2 hours), and Coimbra (30 mins). Beautiful river beaches are within walking distance, as is the Ecopiste, a 40km dedicated cycle route which runs to Viseu.
The towns of Tabua, Santa Comba Dao and Carregal do Sal are all approx 7km away. They all have great facilities including weekly farmer’s markets, doctor’s surgeries, swimming pools, schools and many excellent restaurants.
