Property Description

House with land in Fernão Ferro (20km south of Lisbon).

This property is close to Lisbon, 20km/ 20 minutes by car, 3km to the A2 highway, and it’s like a hidden country side property in midst a suburban area. Perfect to have the both, a tranquil country side live and easy quick access to the city.

The house was build in 1972 – 1975 in clay building blocks with concrete pillars and steel reinforcements (all done properly) on top of the clay brick demolished house that was there 100 years before and belonged also to the same family.

The House is composed by 2 apartments, each with 1 bedroom, 1 living room a kitchen and a bathroom.

There is also an attic over the whole length and width of the building which has approx. 2m height on the gabel. Further there are two garages with 35m2 each.

The land is full of fruit trees, here is a rough list of what there is:
5 Orange trees
5 Tangerine Trees
2 Clementine Trees
1 Lemon tree
1 Fig tree
4 Nespereiras
1 huge Avocado Tree
1 Anona Tree
1 Diospiro (Kaki fruit)
10 – 12 Pomegranate trees
and some vines

On the land you find another simple brick building that used to be a workshop, it has also two rooms /entries and 1 window in each room.

There is also a building that was used to keep chickens and rabbits, and there is a water tank and a well (it’s just about 6m deep) that was used to irrigate the trees. This has not been used for many years and it’s likely that there is little water left at this depth. However a good cleaning or maybe drilling further is an option for those who are interested in cultivating the land.

The total land area is 1,600 m2, enough to grow your veggie-garden and keep chickens, or to just have your private green area/garden behind the house to relax.
