There is also a large garage (requiring roller shutters or garage doors) with room for 2 cars. This area can also be used for storing logs for the wood burner & outdoor tools/furniture etc. There is room for a swimming pool if required.

Located in a lovely position on the edge of a village in picturesque scenery close to the Serra da Lousa Mountain Range. There are panoramic views all round the property and a beautiful area of magnificent cork oak trees is in close proximity. The village is quite unique for this area of Portugal as it has many old established cork trees, and many more have recently been planted along with fruit trees. A great place for growing things, self sufficient farmers have lovely crops of fresh fruit and veg all year round.
The village also is an excellent place for mountain biking, there is a Bike Hotel and additionally a large modern mountain bike facility for the use of the general public. The trails and tracks are also great for walking/hiking, quad biking or just enjoying nature and the wild animals.
Locally there are 2 bars, 5 minutes drive away (different directions), one with a Mini Mercado for essentials. The market towns of Penela and Ansiao are 15-20 minutes drive away. Both towns have Supermarkets, Doctors, Vets, Restaurants/Bars, Banks, Schools, Bakery’s, Hairdressers and Shops. Porto and Lisbon are 2 hours drive away. The Silver Coast is a 1 hour drive. Coimbra is also within easy reach.
