There are far reaching views from the house and garden over the village to the mountains of the Serra da Estrella. Located just over an hour away from golden beaches to the west and snow-capped mountains to the east, there are also delightful walks and cycle rides in the immediate vicinity. Coimbra, a half hour’s drive to the west, is one of the most interesting cities in Portugal with its ancient university, historic buildings and modern shopping malls.

Mortágua, just a 10min drive away, is a delightful small town with supermarkets, railway station, shops and good municipal services. There are regular concerts, festivals and events throughout the year. There are direct train services to Lisbon and the south, regular trains to Coimbra and Guarda, with connections to Aveiro and Porto.
