Who are we?
Pure Portugal Ltd advertises properties for sale plus we have a website for holiday accommodation and property to rent in Portugal.
As you may have guessed from our name, we put particular emphasis on the traditional and natural aspects of both the area we work in and the properties we advertise. Many of the properties we advertise are built and/or renovated using traditional methods and local materials. Many of them also incorporate environmentally friendly design, alternative energy systems, and grow – or are suitable for growing – organic produce.

How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, via cookies, when you contact us, when you register on our website, or when your information is submitted by you via our online forms.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, IP address, any information, enquiries or questions you choose to submit in emails/enquiries and information regarding what pages are accessed and when.
If you are an advertiser and have consented, we will store information you give us regarding your property listing in our website database, which is inputted by Pure Portugal team members, and your property listing publicly available via listings on our property page. You can find out more about this in the Advertisers sections below.

Advertisers
The following information applies to Advertisers. This includes anyone who advertises a Property Listing, Tiny Homes Listing (formerly Eco Homes), Services Directory listing, or Course Listing.
Property Advertisers
If you are an advertiser and have consented, we will store information you give us regarding your property listing in our website, and make your property listing publicly available via listings on our property page. Website visitors can then see your property listing, including all the information provided, and send you enquiries via our online submission form, situated on the right side of the property page.
While we endeavour to ensure our forms are as secure and spam proof as possible, by using various measures including custom fields, hidden fields and CAPTCHA, you may get some unwanted requests from users who are not genuine.
All Property advertisers must read and agree to our full advertising agreement terms and conditions, submit a completed Advertising Agreement Form and send us property details, contact information and images via email.
The information provided in the Advertising Agreement Form may be used to invoice you (the advertiser), when your property sells, or if any extra promotional services are required by you, as agreed/set out in the full terms and conditions.
We store this information using FreeAgent Accounting software.

Tiny Home Advertisers
If you are an advertiser and have consented, we will store information you give us (via email) regarding your Tiny Homes listing in our website, and make your listing publicly available via listings on our Tiny Homes page.
Website visitors can then see your listing, including all the information provided, and send you enquiries via our online submission form, situated on the right side of the Tny Homes page.

Registered Users
Any users can register for our WordPress website (uses the inbuilt WordPress User registration system) via the Registration page under the Account section of our main menu:

Users will be asked to review our full Privacy Policy and confirm they consent before registration.
We ask for a username, email address and password for registration.
Registration gives users the option to save their favourite properties by clicking Add To Favourites in the sidebar of property pages.
Once saved, users can then view their favourite and/or send us enquiries relating to those properties via the My Account page:

Communications
If you contact us directly through email, or via any of our online forms, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
When you (including all website users and advertisers) email us, We save your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the contents of your message and any attachments you send us. This enables us to contact you and respond to your enquiries.
If you wish to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information sent via email or our website forms, you can do so at any time by contacting team@pureportugal.co.uk.

Our Forms
Our site includes various forms, which enable you to contact us, or send an enquiry directly through to one of our advertisers.
Here is a quick list of all our website forms, along with a brief description of how they work.
Property Enquiry Form
If you are interested in a Property and submit a Property enquiry form, a copy of your enquiry, along with your contact information, will be sent directly to the property seller, via email.
A copy of this email is also sent to us (Pure Portugal), in order to monitor enquiries, to ensure they are reaching the advertiser (e.g. not being blocked by spam filters or failing due to any errors), and also to monitor for any unwanted/spam submissions.
There are additional Global Reach checkboxes, which enables users to send contact information through to Global Reach, for currency exchange information/deals. You can find out more about this in the Global Reach section later in this document.
We will not use your enquiry email for any other purposes.
Tiny Home Enquiry Form
If you are interested in a Tiny Home and submit an enquiry form, a copy of your enquiry, along with your contact information, will be sent directly to the Tiny Home producer/seller, via email.
A copy of this email is also sent to us (Pure Portugal), in order to monitor enquiries, to ensure they are reaching the advertiser (e.g. not being blocked by spam filters or failing due to any errors), and also to monitor for any unwanted/spam submissions.
We will not use your enquiry email for any other purposes.
Advertising Agreement Form
Our advertising agreement form is used by property sellers, to send us the details of their property, which are then stored in our advertisers database. We also ask property sellers to send us full details of their property via email (including location and price), along with up to 24 images (also sent via email) which are then used to create a Property listing on our site.
The page includes detailed terms and conditions, which the advertisers must agree to before submission.

Survey Forms
Our site includes various Survey forms, which enable users to send us detailed information on Properties they might be looking for, and other related enquiries. The information submitted is sent directly to Pure Portugal team members (via email), and used to help us provide you with the information you need.
There are additional Global Reach checkboxes, which enables users to send contact information through to Global Reach, for currency exchange information/deals. You can find out more about this in the Global Reach section later in this document.
Our surveys include consent checkboxes, and your information will not be shared with third parties without complete disclosure and consent (e.g. FC Exchange).

Contact Form
Our contact page includes a simple, standard contact form, which enables any website user to send us an enquiry, which is then sent to team@pureportugal.co.uk via email.
The form includes a consent checkbox, the information you submit will only be used by our team to reply to your enquiry or to be forwarded to the seller if you enquire about any specific property for sale via this contact form.
Subscription Forms
Our website includes two newsletter subscription forms, which enable users to subscribe to our MailerLite newsletters.

Property Purchasers
We may ask sellers for the purchasers details (name and email) when there is a sale via our website, so we can send our free trees voucher.
This information is stored on our database (back office: My PP) on the property file.
In order to send the ‘free trees offer’ money , when requested by the purchaser, we ask for a copy of the receipt of the trees purchase and bank details. This data is only used to send the money, and we don’t use it ever again or share that information with third parties.
COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. We collect information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices you use to access the Services. We have enabled a Cookie Consent pop-up, which advisers visitors that our site uses cookies, along with a link to this policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information about visitor behaviour on our website. Google Analytics stores information about which pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. This Analytics data is not tied to personally identifiable information. We therefore do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

Our website was developed and built using WordPress, with additional custom code, a custom theme, and additional plug-ins and third party software.

As of WordPress 4.9.6, the WordPress core software will be GDPR compliant. WordPress core team are adding several enhancements to make sure that WordPress is GDPR compliant.

MailerLite
We use MailerLite for our email subscriptions and marketing. Users can sign up for various subscription emails including our newsletter, reduced property listing subscription, and latest property subscription.
We have requested that all users confirm consent to receive these emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails.

PLUGIN: SMUSH
Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.
Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip.

Accounting
We store advertisers contact and billing information using FreeAgent Accounting software.

Back Office
We use a Firebase driven back office system (MyPP) to manage advertising activity. We store data here including listings from our WordPress websites, and information provided by contacts who requested our services.
All data is stored in Google Firebase, and the hosting, security, authentication and SSL certificate are provided by them.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites run by other organisations. This policy applies only to our website(s). We encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit. We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from our website.
If you linked to our website from a third party site, we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of the owners and operators of that third party site and we recommend you check the policy of that third party site.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties unless explicitly stated and consented to.
We will not share your information with undisclosed third parties for marketing purposes.

Global Reach
We work with Global Reach, to provide currency exchange information and offers to our users, to help protect them against currency fluctuations and save on bank fees.
To do this, we have added Global Reach checkboxes to our forms, which enables users to opt in to sending their contact information (name, email and optional telephone number) to Global Reach, in order to receive offers.
The process is clearly explained on the relevant forms, which display a checkbox users must click, along with additional information advising users that this are consenting to sharing this information.

How do you protect my data:
We take steps to protect the security of the personally identifiable information we collect, including, for example, physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards.
Security Precautions in place to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of your information
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any sensitive information is encrypted via SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, and in the address bar (before the url) in Chrome.
Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
