Our fabulous Podcasts are presented and produced by the wonderful Carl Munson. Carl is a radio presenter, with nearly 30 years’ experience – on pirate, community FM, RSL and Internet stations. He created The Barefoot Broadcast in 2010 to explore and share all manner of spiritual, ecological and inspiring subjects and speakers. He’s also an event and festival MC and compère, now living in and loving Portugal after a first visit in 2008, encouraged by Pure Portugal. He is also ‘Town Crier’ and Community Builder for OurNet who have recently located in Lisbon to re-launch their community communication platform. Currently based in Lisbon, Carl with wife Louisa and two kids, hopes to move further afield in Portugal and live a more natural, sustainable and connected ‘Good Life’

Lynn’s story is truly inspiring. She lost much of her home in last year’s forest fires, yet remains an incredible stand and resource for the natural life, having made her own fascinating transition and transformation toward the ‘good life’ – or the ‘luxury life’, as ‘a vida fausto’ translates from Portuguese – from life in the fast lane.

What’s Growing in YOUR Garden? Deborah Richmond on Rewilding at Quinta Das Abelhas

Carl spoke to Deborah Richmond from the Quinta Das Abelhas, home of an exciting and inspiring new rewilding project, who happened to be in Devon, UK for the call. Set in the mountains of Central Portugal, Quinta Das Abelahs’ rewilding scheme is dedicated as a sanctuary to the honey bee and ecosystem restoration. Each swarming season they will grow the number of hives, with a particular emphasis on wild bees and log hives in the trees, creating a safe haven for them to thrive. Deborah also heads Pure Portugal’s Resources Directory, which we’ll cover in more detail episode three of this podcast, so please stay subscribed.
