From the house and garden there are great views over the valley to the hills in the far distance. The hamlet of Barqueiro is peaceful, with the closest cafe to the property just a short drive away.
The larger town of Alvaiazere which has supermarket, cafes, banks, schools, swimming pool and health centre is around 10 minutes drive. The historic town of Tomar which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo is around 20 minutes drive.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which fly in and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
