To the south and west of the property there is a small, quiet road out of the village and beyond this is an extended valley of just fields and farms and forest. To the east and north are neighbours and farmers. This is a very calm neighbourhood.
The property is located in the south of Bobadela, a very beautiful historical village. It is a restored Roman village with nicely converved Roman monuments, ruins and a museum as well as small shops and cafes. Bobadela is about 5km from Oliveira do Hospital. Oliveira do Hospital has a weekly market and organises yearly traditional and modern festivals. There is a hospital, schools, post office and lots of shops as well as an international bus station. Oliveira do Hospital is about a 30 minute drive up to the mountains of Serra da Estrela, about 1 hour drive to the university city of Coimbra and 1 hour 30 minutes until the Atlantic Ocean. From Bobadela village you can follow the country street and find many small typical Portuguese villages with wonderful landscapes.
