The property is in a good decorative order, connected to both mains water and electricity, and benefits from double glazing throughout. The property, although recently constructed, has many traditional design features including a stone faced chimney breast, exterior stone walls and a feature wooden fitted kitchen.

The main entrance to the house leads into a spacious, split level entrance hallway, which has a tiled floor. Off this hallway there is a staircase which leads down to a triple aspect living room. There is a half staircase which leads to a study area with a picture window overlooking the lake.

Access to three bedrooms is off this entrance hallway. All bedrooms have tiled floors and built-in wooden wardrobes. One of the bedrooms is en-suite, is double aspect, and has stunning views over the lake.

The house is on 3,000m2 grounds set on the hillside. The gardens have been landscaped and have easy access paths to the water's edge where there is a jetty for mooring motor boats or jet skis.

The property is situated in a very desirable area and is ideal as a holiday home though is spacious enough to be converted into a bed and breakfast establishment.

There is a neighbouring property though due to the positioning of the house, this does not affect the privacy of the property.

Within walking distance of a cafe/bar and is a short drive from the small town of Serra, which has several shops, a mini-market, cafes, builders merchant, bank and health centre.

The larger, historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO Listed Convento do Cristo, is a 15 minutes drive. Tomar is a popular and bustling market town which attracts thousands of tourists each year. It has a variety of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, health centres, swimming pools and university.

Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir, is at the bottom of the property's garden and is popular for all kinds of water sports. Sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, fishing, swimming and jet skiing are all popular activities available on the lake – with which you can participate from your own private jetty.

The closest airport is situated at Lisbon, which is one and a half hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
