A four storey house with land for sale close to the market town of Cabaços in Central Portugal.
The property, which has 7,800m2 (just under 2 acres) land, also has a stone built cottage which needs to be restored.
The property is located within a quiet area and has good views across the valley. Set over four floors the property briefly comprises:
Cellar: The cellar, which has a dirt floor covers the foot print of the property and is one open space. Entrance to the cellar, which has windows to three sides, is from the rear.
First Floor: The first floor of the property can be accessed both from the front and the side. There is an integrated garage, which has an up and over door. To this floor there is an entrance hall with a tiled floor. Off this hall way there is access to the garage along with two double bedrooms, both with parquet flooring. There is a spacious living room with parquet flooring and internal wooden shutters. The kitchen has an exterior access door which leads to the garden. The bathroom has a concrete floor and does require updating. There is a traditional style stone sink and fireplace to the kitchen as well as a set of internal stairs, which lead to the second floor.
Second Floor: The front entrance to the second floor is via an external staircase, which leads to a covered veranda. There is a hallway with parquet flooring. Off this hallway there is a double aspect living room with parquet floors. There are three double bedrooms to this floor, all of which has parquet flooring. The bathroom is partially tiled and has a bath with a hand held shower above. The kitchen requires some up dating, but has a marble sink and some base and eye level units as well as a large chimney. Access to the attic is via a staircase which is situated in the kitchen.
Attic: The attic has a concrete floor and a gable end window and is one open space, which could easily be converted to provide more living accommodation.
Stone Cottage: There is a small stone cottage with outbuildings on the land. The cottage, which has been constructed in stone, does require modernisation and restoration. The cottage consists of four rooms and has a traditional wooden beamed room.
The property has parking to the front of the property as well as a gated entrance to the land and is located to the side and rear. There is a good variety of fruit trees including peach, apple, orange, lemon, Nespera and olive as well as some mature grape vines. The land is flat and there is a well.
The property does require some modernisation and renovation work, however it is connected to mains water, electricity and telephone.
The property is situated within the quiet village of Jordões, which is approximately two kilometres from the market town of Cabaços, which has several café-bar restaurants, a mini-market, shops, petrol station and weekly market.
The large town of Alvaiázere, which has supermarkets, a health centre, sports centre, cafe bars, restaurants, shops and schools, is approximately ten minutes drive. The world heritage town of Tomar is approximately 20 minutes by car. The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, approximately an hour and a half drive. Porto airport is slightly further away taking around two and a half hours by car.
