The house is situated in an elevated position and has good views of the surrounding countryside and although in a rural location is close to amenities.
The village of Formigais is a short drive where there are cafes and a small shop.
The large towns of Ourem and Tomar are 10-15 minutes by car. Both Ourem and Tomar have a variety of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, health centres, pharmacies, banks and schools. Tomar is also home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, constructed in the 12th century by the Knights Templar.
The closest airport is situated at Lisbon which is 1.5 hrs away. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
