Our house which has served us some years as an endearing home, is in search of new owners! We have moved for professional reasons to another region of Portugal.
We would like to sell to people who want to live harmoniously in the peace of the rural village, at the border of a village road but with not much traffic. The friendly neighbours like to come for small talk at the gate, but they have no view of our inner courtyard.
On the ground floor we have altered the area which was a wine cellar, into a living room. Delightfully cool in summer, it can be heated in winter with the big wood burner. The wood burner supplies the whole house with warmth.
This living room joins the kitchen. From the inner courtyard is access to the laundry, and we have installed a bath tub which is one of our "unfinished works" - but this area can easily be finished. We are connected at the public water net.
The bedrooms and bathroom are in the first floor. Of the four bedrooms, two are adjoining and the larger of these rooms has a glass facade on three walls which offers a full view of the whole property. One of the bedrooms is the old part of the house and has stone walls.
There is a large solar arrangement on the roof and mains water is connected.
In a small cellar space is the 1,000L water reservoir for the heating and the daily use water and the electronic control for the solar arrangement and heating.
There is another annex for bicycles, gardening implements, etc.
Outside near the house is a carport for two vehicles, and is suitable for high campers.
On the property we have planted some orange and lemon trees, there is a big old fig tree, peaches, grape vines and olives. Everything is irrigated with our own well water.
2,869m2 total land area, made up of an "urban" plot of 999m2, and a "rustic" plot of 1,870m2.
A small walk through a nearby forest brings you to the café and small supermarket, kindergarden, elementary school, and a health centre.
If you do not speak the language yet, you can meet on Saturday some people from other European countries at the central place.
