A traditional two bedroom detached stone cottage, set over one floor and in need of renovation work.

The cottage is constructed in stone and has 50cm thick walls. The main entrance leads directly into the living room, which has a wooden floor and ceiling. Off the living room there are two traditional bedrooms, again with wooden floors and ceilings. The kitchen is located at the rear of the cottage, has a large traditional fireplace and a wooden staircase leading to the attic. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a storage room. There is a second 'summer' kitchen and storage room accessed off the kitchen at the rear of the cottage. These rooms also have wooden floors and ceilings and there is a traditional bread oven in situ.

The attic is currently used for storage purposes, however could be converted into additional living space quite easily.

Connected to both mains water and electricity and also has a well on the land.

Attached to the cottage is a large stone barn which is set over one floor. This barn also has 50cm thick walls and although used for storage at present, could be converted into part of the living space. The barn has a dirt floor and a wooden beamed roof.
There is a gated driveway to the side of the cottage with ample parking space for three or four vehicles.

The property is set on a flat plot of land measuring 1,340m2 (over 0.25 acre).The land is very fertile and there is a good variety of mature fruit trees including olive, orange, lemon and Nespera trees.

The property is situated in a small hamlet near Ferreira do Zêzere in Central Portugal. There are neighbouring properties around, though none overlook the garden. The property is set on a quiet country road, is in a peaceful position, and is close to all amenities.

The historic town of Tomar is around a 15 minutes drive. Tomar is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo and has a variety of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, sports centres, cinema, bowling alley and hospital. The river beach of Agroal is around 10 minutes drive from the property, which is popular during the summer months for swimming and socialising.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
