A very simple rustic house on 1,500m2 of land. Private. 2 wells. Some olive and fruit trees plus huge beautiful chestnut trees.
The house is 10m x 5m on two levels. The bottom part is divided into 3 storage rooms and the upstairs has three rooms - a kitchen with fire place, a living room and a bedroom. As seen in the photos the house is extremely basic and needs painting, decorating, cleaning and doing up. The wooden floors, the ceiling, and roof are all good.
There is no mains electricity but the connection fee would be 1,750 euros and the vendor is prepared to pay half this cost. There is no mains water but plenty of natural water from a well and a spring.
There are four terraces with plenty of space for veg growing and to keep a few chickens etc. There are various fruit and olive trees and some lovely great sweet chestnut trees that provide you with chestnuts for months. The place is nice and private and in a very pretty spot with good views from the top part of the land.
The access to the property is a 70m dirt track.
This property is roughly 5km from Pedrógão Pequeno and the Cabril lake and 7km from the small market town of Pedrógão Grande.
Pedrógão Pequeno is a small cobbled village with a weekly Sunday morning market, a post office, a good bed and breakfast with restaurant, café-bars, a bank, doctor, and a couple of shops.
The nearest bar/café and little shop is in Vale de Galega about 1.5km away.
