This part renovated house has had a new roof fitted, and has character exposed wooden beams to some of the rooms. At present the property has 2 bedrooms though there is space to create a further 2 by sub-dividing one of the first floor spaces.

The main entrance to the house is via a set of arched, double wooden doors. These lead directly into a spacious living room which still has the original terracotta tiled floor. This living room has a central stone effect fireplace and a double height ceiling. Off this living room there is a a central hallway which runs the depth of the building. The hallway also has a terracotta tiled floor and a wooden staircase leading to the first floor accommodation.
There is a second living room accessed off both the first living room and the hallway. The second living room is double aspect and has a central stone fireplace. There is an exterior access door off which leads to a large covered terrace with good views over the garden and surrounding valley.

The kitchen is accessed off the hallway and has partially tiled traditional style walls. The kitchen has some base level wooden units with fret-worked doors. The work surfaces are marble and there is a stainless steel sink and drainer in situ. The kitchen also has an exterior door which leads out to the rear of the property. There is a bedroom to the ground floor, which has a wooden beamed ceiling and a terracotta tiled floor. There is also a bathroom to this level.

A wooden staircase leads to the first floor accommodation. Currently there is a bedroom, situated in the tower. This bedroom is double aspect and has an open beamed roof. There is a second larger room which has yet to be sub-divided though it was the intention of the current owner to create 2 large bedrooms here. In addition to this there is a further room, which has yet to have the floor installed which would allow the creation of further bedrooms.

The property also has a large cellar with a selection of storage rooms. The cellar is accessed externally though does not have sufficient head height to be incorporated into the living accommodation. The property has been part renovated and does require a good deal of work to be carried out to finish it, though the majority of the structural work has already been completed.

The property is connected to both mains water and electricity.

Adjacent to the house there is a large, traditional stone drying circle which would be ideal to be an entertainment area. The drying circle is elevated and does provide good views over the surrounding countryside.

The property is set on a plot measuring 1,900m2 and there are a variety of mature trees. There is a 4m x 10m swimming pool, though this does need refurbishing with a new liner and pump system.

The property is located in the small hamlet of Monchite, which has a mini-market and cafe. There is a train station only a few kilometres drive from the property, which is main-line providing easy transit from both Coimbra and Lisbon.

The closest town to the property is located at Tomar, which is around 20 minutes drive. Tomar is a popular and bustling market town. Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, has a wide range of independent shops, bars, restaurants, historic monuments, parks, schools, hospital, university, health centres, bus and train station and art galleries.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around 1hr 45 minutes by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
