This is all just twenty minutes drive from Pombal, a beautiful town with a castle and the mainline railway conveniently situated midway between the capital city of Lisbon and the famous northern city of Oporto. Each being around one hour fifteen minutes by train or car from Lisbon or Oporto.

Situated about an hour from the coast and 45 mins from the beautiful university city of Coimbra, nearby also are the Roman ruins of Conimbriga. You can enjoy the best of everything from miles of forest walks, beautiful scenery and buildings, trips to the sea or mountains, plus really friendly people, good food and wine!

So, what is going to make all this work for you?

The land is there and the owner has already arranged the planning permission and met with a local council engineer who has quoted a cost of around 2,000 euros to bring electricity and water to the site as well as making up the road and fitting street lighting.

Further, he can introduce a good quality, English speaking local builder who will be happy to quote once he sees your design, or even help with the design using his computer design software to produce images of how your new home will look once built.

Why is it for sale? The owner bought it to build a house himself and was then offered a similar site immediately next door to some friends and so has have decided to build there, about ten minutes away, and sell this one. Thus the owner has found this great piece of land, got the planning permission, found the builder, and met with the local council engineers to sort out the services - all you have to do is use your imagination and start designing your new dream home!

Costs? This land is just 50,000 - euros, not pounds! That is around £35,000 depending on the day's exchange rate. The house will cost according to design finish and size but rest assured that it will be less than in the UK and so you will have a great investment!
