The house is set back from a quiet road, has countryside views, and is situated in a peaceful location but is not isolated. There are neighbouring properties in the vicinity, though none overlook the property. Situated in the small hamlet of Matos with the closest cafe and shop just a short drive away.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the Convento do Cristo, is a 15 minutes drive. Tomar has a range of supermarkets, shops, cafes, banks, schools, pharmacies, sports centres, library, cinema, bowling alley, swimming pool and historic monuments, as well as bus and train stations.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is 1.5 hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
