Great beaches are just under an hour's drive.The city of Coimbra is approx. 45 minutes and Lisbon and Porto airports are both an equal drive of approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The house stands pretty much in the middle of its grounds with great views all around. The land is flat, approx.4,000m2 (one acre) and has a good field for veg growing, with various fruit and olive trees and grape vines.
There is a good water well and an irrigation tank shaded by a big vine-covered pergola that would also serve as a good splash pool.
The ground level of the house is storage rooms and a big 75m2 earth-floored wine cellar, a good place to retreat to in the heat of the summer.
Around the upstairs of the house is a veranda/sun terrace, great to sit out and enjoy the far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a seperate room on the terrace that could be renovated and turned into guest accomodation and there are stairs leading up to a very spacious attic.
