Located in the proximity of the historic town of Tomar, and with excellent connections to the main motorways A1 (Lisbon = 75 minutes), lies the picturesque village of Dornes. Here, on 11.000m2 (1.1 hectares), bordering the large reservoir lake of Castelo do Bode, along the river Zezere, you find your dream house. It has a fantastic view, and many possibilities.

Renovated in 2001, the house has a new insulated roof, new plastering on the old 60cm thick stone walls, new aluminium windows, doors, blinds, etc.

The land consists of terraces, with the house on the top level, and the lowest giving access to the lake, with private floating dock, boathouse and idyllic picnic place.

Furthermore there is an orchard, with over 500 trees, mainly oranges and tangerines. But you also find lemons, grapes, olives, peaches, apples, plums, pomegranates, etc.

Ground floor: Living room with modern open kitchen (dishwasher), bedroom, bathroom, pantry and large storage room (easily convertable to a bedroom), and a large covered terrace with fixed BBQ.

Amenities: Double glazed windows with roller wiregauze and aluminium blinds throughout. Central heating (on gas), but also a very efficient woodburner. 3 phase 16 amp electricity in the house and garage. Connected to the municipal water supply. Telephone line with broadband internet (ADSL). Double satelite connection (ground and first floors). Land is totally fenced for our sheep, who keep the grass short. Building possibility on first terrace, presently two caravans are situated here, used by us as guest accommodation.
