The kitchen leads onto a large covered terrace overlooking the garden. This area is a private and very comfortable place to enjoy the warm afternoons and evenings.

The 3 bed guest house entrance is into an open plan kitchen and lounge with tiled floor, wooden ceiling and exposed stone. French windows lead onto the poolside patio.
The downstairs bedroom also has French windows leading onto the poolside. It is a very good size, comfortably holding two single beds or a king-size double - includes an en-suite WC.
The bathroom has floor-to-ceiling tiles, shower, toilet and sink.
Upstairs there is a small landing/lounge area, leading onto the other 2 large double bedrooms.
All of the downstairs area has tiled floors and matt-white walls. Granite stairs lead to the 1st floor, where the floors are all wooden.

The guest house rents very successfully. In 2010 the property was full with lucrative short-term lets for 12 weeks of the year.

The garage is in very good condition and is currently used for storage only. It is the same height as the other rooms in the main house and accessed by a normal door from the corridor. This room, which is in front of the lounge, could easily be opened up and incorporated into the lounge to make an even bigger space.

L-shaped swimming pool of 8 x 4m, positioned only 15m from the riverbank. The deepest part of the pool is 1.5m deep and the shallowest is 0.5m. There is a poolside patio large enough for various sun loungers and a paved path between main house, pool and guest house.

Secure gated parking on traditional Portuguese calcada paving stones.

Situated on a plot of 3,500m2 land. The land surrounding the property is private and very flat. The furthest border of the property is marked by the river, which flows year-round and never reaches near the top of the bank. There are many types of fruit trees in the garden, including orange, olive and apple.

The town of Penela is 2 minutes away, while a supermarket and cafe are just a couple of minutes walk.
