Smallholding of 2.5 hectares, 1 hectare arable and 1.5 hectares woodland. Two stone houses and outbuildings, absolute privacy, lots of spring water. No electricity.

The property is situated in a valley with terraced arable land in the middle and woodland on both sides.

Lots of natural spring water. No mains electricity but a great location for solar power.

The are plenty of fruit trees including apple, figs, lots of chestnuts, walnuts, plums and peaches. In the large wooded area there are pines, mimosa, lots of oaks and cork oaks.

The property is extremely private although not isolated, Pedrógão Pequeno is 4km with a primary school, doctors, B&B, Post Office, restaurant, little bars and shops and a weekly Sunday market. Pedrógão Grande is 6km. The property access is about 200m on a pretty rough dirt track.

There are two good simple stone houses with various stone outbuildings and sheds. Both houses have recently been simply renovated. The roofs have chestnut beams and rafters, roofing felt, and are insulated with cork. There is a lot of woodwork treated with enviromentally friendly products such as borax and linseed oil.

One house has one room upstairs and one room downstairs, the other has one room upstairs with two small storage rooms and storage below. The toilet is an outside compost toilet and there is no bathroom.

This is a nice big property excellent for low-impact living, growing your own organic food and keeping a few animals.
